1832 LARGE LETTERS Capped Bust, Lettered Edge O-101a 50C NGC MS64

1832 50C Large Letters MS64 NGC. O-101a, R.1. The sole Large Letters variety for the date, but the prominent die break from the left (facing) wing to the branch is also diagnostic. This die pair is plentiful in circulated grades but is surprisingly scarce in Mint State. In fact, the present coin is tied with two or three others atop the Stephen J. Herrman census for the variety. Check out all the great US Coins, Currency, Ancients, World and Exonumia at Sarasota Numismatics. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about this or any of our other extensive offerings.
