Georgia October 16, 1786 2 Shillings 6 Pence Fr. GA-128 PMG Very Fine 30.
This is a very distinctive, later State-issued note printed by John E. Smith in Augusta from an intricate Abernathie-engraved plate. At the upper left is a vignette of the 1777 Georgia Constitution and the motto PRO BONO PUBLICO (For the public good). Fully issued with two signatures. The margins are complete, the selvage at the right is broad, and part of the note underneath shows at the lower left. At the upper left corner a spot is observed in the wide margin. 23 Notes Known
