1864 $10 Confederate CSA T-68 Uncut Sheet 8 Notes PMG GEM 66 EPQ

T68 $10 1864 PF-44 Cr. 552 Uncut Sheet of Eight. A beautiful $10 Series uncut sheet that is printed on both sides, but is without serial numbers and signatures. This was probably due to the arrival of Sherman's army in Columbia, South Carolina, the removal of the Treasury-Note Bureau to Charlotte, North Carolina and how most of the signers of notes remained in Columbia and simply disappeared among the citizenry. This uncut sheet is certainly worthy of its PMG Gem 66 EPQ grade and we see plate engraver names of Frame, Cooper, and a Confederate Treasury Stamp in the margins. This may be the finest known of these sheets, I couldn't find anything higher than a 64 grade. Check out all the great US Coins, Currency, Ancients, World and Exonumia at Sarasota Numismatics. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about this or any of our other extensive offerings.
