Description / 1786 5s Georgia Colonial Currency GA-129 PCGS AU53 Ex. Ford-Boyd-Raymond
State of Georgia October 16, 1786 5 Shillings Fr. GA-129. PCGS About Unc 53.
A very distinctively engraved series by Abernathie and printed in Augusta by John E. Smith on watermarked Dutch paper. The lower denominations are scarce, and this lightly circulated note is handsome. There are two signatures. The note has the look of a New at first glance and is an ideal example from the series. Finest known of 9 examples in the census. Check out all the great US Coins, Paper Money, Ancients, World and Exonumia at Sarasota Numismatics. We are happy to answer any questions about this or anything in our vast inventory.
